Thank you for checking out my Moves Fitness page!
I became a teacher initially because I wanted other people to experience the sheer joy I
felt as a student in a Moves Fitness class…non-competitive exercise to great music, with a
sense of achievement and a feeling of positive good health.
It also provided me with an income, and I was able to instruct classes while I brought up my 2 children.
I even taught Mini-Moves at their school!
Now my children are at university I teach a Senior Moves class, and a Strength and Stretch class
in addition to 3 Moves Fitness classes.
I have also qualified as a Garden Designer, and this year
juggled Moves Fitness classes with an award-winning garden at The Hampton Court Flower Show.
(It was quite tempting to mix my two passions by having a Moves Fitness demonstration in my
garden…..maybe next time!)
During my 25 years as an instructor, I been able to reach 1,000s of people, some of which have
been students since the start.
I’ve made many friends, and inevitably during that time we have been hit with life altering events,
both good and bad. Much has been shared together, and I’ve found that exercise and music really
does lift the spirits and help you cope in tough times.
In 2005 I was treated for breast cancer, and one of my main concerns was how quickly I could
get back to classes!
Bodies are meant to move, and the feeling you get is such a huge bonus,
added to the fun of a great workout. I’m very lucky to have a career that keeps me in shape.
