Strictly Moves!
On Thursday morning, October 11th, Val arrived at the Village Hall to take her usual Moves Fitness
class and got quite a shock! Hall and stage had been decorated and nearly all the
class students turned up in fancy dress!
They had been planning the occasion for weeks as a celebration of Val’s 70th Birthday, the next day.
She thought she was still asleep and dreaming! A huge banner across the stage stated STRICTLY MOVES
as they all knew Val was an ex-ballroom teacher. After the class, out came the table cloth,
sandwiches and cakes, tea and coffee. A card with over twenty signatures and flowers were
presented and a grand morning was had by all.
Val wishes to thank all those lovely ladies, especially Gill Hoddinott and June Parrett,
who went to so much trouble on her behalf – but she promises to make them work extra hard
in future “as punishment”!
